·         To felicitate the teachers on the Teacher's Day, the students of classes I- XII will conduct a combined assembly on September 5, 2016.

\r\n\r\n

Pre- Primary

\r\n\r\n

·         Students of Nursery A and B visited ‘cow shed' on Tuesday 30thAugust.

\r\n\r\n

·         ‘Story  Basket' (Wednesday activity) will be held on 14thSeptember. Kindly prepare your ward for any story in English along with props.

\r\n\r\n

·         In Nursery letter ‘w' and its phonic sound was introduced with flash cards and pictures. worksheet on tracing letter ‘w' was done in the class. Letter A, M, N, V, H, E, F were revised through activity ‘Fish for letters'. In Hindi vyanjan ‘Ã %A4%9C' was introduced with flash cards and pictures.‘Ã %A4%B9Ã %A4%BEÃ %A4%A5Ã %A5%80Ã %A4%B0Ã %A4%BEÃ %A4%9CÃ %A4%BE' rhyme was recited in class with actions. Numeral 7 and its value  was introduced with counting of objects. Children enjoyed colouring worksheet on numeral 7.In General Awareness discussion on Animals was done , children enjoyed watching slide show on different animals. ‘Old MacDonald' Rhyme was sung with actions.

·         In KG ‘an' family words were introduced with flash cards and reading of an words. Please help your child to read pg 10 & 11 of English Reader. Letters ‘m', ‘n' & ‘r' was introduced with phonic sounds. Introduction of the sentences This is a….was done in English. In Maths 0-100  backward and forward counting and skip counting of 2's were done in class. Greater and lesser numbers and before and after with an activity r was revised in the class .Show and tell activity on fox was done in EVS. In hindirecapitulation of two letter words and story ‘à %A4%8Fà %A4• Ã %A4%A5à %A4%BE Ã %A4…à %A4%82à %A4—à %A5%82à %A4%B0 Ã %A4•à %A4%BE Ã %A4—à %A5%81à %A4%9Aà %A5%8Dà %A4%9Bà %A4%BE' was done. Vyanjan ‘à %A4%B2' was also introduced in the class. For General Awareness activity kindly send the pictures of healthy  & junk food from any old magazine or news paper for an activity. It is only for KG.

·         Heartiest congratulations to the following students for winning in Inter-School competitions held at Apeejay International  School, Greater Noida.

o   Reva Verma & Tanishq Chaudhary of VC won the 1stposition in Decoupage.

\r\n\r\n

o   Reva Sharma of IIIA Won the 1st position in Hindi Hasya Kavita.

\r\n\r\n

o   Hans Swaroop Talwar of VB & Anushka Singh of IV B won the 2nd position in Audio Visual Quiz on Olympics and Freedom struggle.

\r\n\r\n

o   Roshi Jain & Ifrah Hakim Khan of III- A, Sagar Sinha &Ayaan Hakim Khan of IVB , Ojasvi Mathpal of IV A, Aditya Bhattacarya, poojita Chaudhary, Sanchit Nautiyal of VB, Ahaan Dhekiyal  of VA & Nitin Joshi of VC won the 3rd position in English Group Recitation.

o   Loreena and Mehul Rathore of IV B & Sanskriti Pandey of IV C won the 3rd position in Advertisement Making.

\r\n\r\n

o   Ayushi Jain of V A won the   3rd  position in Work in Unison.

\r\n\r\n

·         As part of Inter- Class Wednesday activity classes 1&2 had Handwriting (Hindi). Winners will be awarded the certificates.

\r\n\r\n

·         Transcription in English and Hindi has been given to classes 1-5 by their respective teachers.

\r\n\r\n

·         Monthly syllabus for classes 1-V has been uploaded on Pragyan mapping minds

Seniors

\r\n\r\n

·         For inter- house Wednesday activity , Prayas House won the 1stposition in Hindi Skit competition. Tapsi Arora of Pragati House won the 1st position in English Elocution. 

\r\n\r\n

·         We congratulate Ananya Gudhenia (XI) and Aditee Sisodia (XII) for securing 2nd position in inter-school Hindi extempore held at Sarla Chopra  D.A.V Centenary Public School, Noida.

\r\n\r\n

·         Students of class 6 visited National Science Center, New Delhi on 30th Aug 16. They had an enriching experience observing the exhibits related to Technology and heritage, technology and tradition, ancient chemical and surgical Laboratory.They enjoyed playing various games like : Transfer of momentum, Floating ball,Trickling  drops, Impossible mixtures.

\r\n\r\n

·         During Enrichment period students of class 6 to 10 were explained about Basics of First Aid.

\r\n\r\n

·         Students of Class 6 learned and practiced Tie and Dye technique along with simple stitching and button tucking in their Enrichment period as part of work experience.

\r\n\r\n

·         During their enrichment period students of class 7  were made aware of railway inquiry, railway booking and ways to check rail timetable. They also checked these features themselves. This part of work experience class.

\r\n\r\n

·         Students of class 8 were demonstrated the control panels of computer and the ways to change the          control panels, in their work experience class by their computer teacher.

\r\n\r\n

·         Students of classes 9 and 10 were explained about LOGIC gates and they also implemented        this practically as part of their work experience class conducted during enrichment period.

\r\n\r\n

·         A motivational workshop “TGELF” was conducted by Mr. Nitin Sahai  for the students of class 9 and 10 on 29th and 30th  August during enrichment period. It was mainly to develop the leadership qualities in the students.

\r\n\r\n

·         Students of interact club attended DILA meeting at Amity University, Noida with Mr. Parshuram Jha and Ms. Manisha Singh

\r\n\r\n

·         SA-1  are ahead and revision in all classes from 6-12 is going on so kindly ensure that your ward is attending the school regularly.

\r\n\r\n

·         Syllabus of  SA- I for classes VI- XII has been uploaded on Pragyan Mappingminds for your perusal. Kindlu supervise your ward for the same.

·         It is to be informed that no leave is sanctioned to  students during any of the examinations and no re-test are allowed.

\r\n\r\n

Students of classes IX &X will get their question papers from the CBSE, hence there is absolutely no scope for any retests. The schedule for all the exams is given in the year book. Kindly ensure that  the child is well prepared and confident to take his exams.

Sports

\r\n\r\n

·         Congratulations to all basketball players( boys under 15) for  winning the third place in Inter School Basketball Competition,  played at Modern Public School, Crossing Republic Noida.They won the first match against  Moountlitra School Ghaziabad by 30-0. The next match was played against DPS Noida and our students gave  a tough fight 

\r\n\r\n

·         Congratulations to  the players of the Junior football team for winning a  friendly Football  match played by them at J.P Public School at J.P Greens, Greater Noida, on          27th  August 2016 . The Pragyanians won by 8-0.

Eco- Club

·         The Eco club extends its heartfelt gratitude to the parent body for joining hands in making our mother earth greener. Selling of saplings and organic manure was a great success. The club members were able to spread benefits of organic manure and health benefits of medicinal plants like alovera, ashwagandha, tulsi and bryophyllum.

Interact Club

\r\n\r\n

·         With the intent of extending charity to the needy, parents are requested to donate old clothes for them. A drop box has been kept at the reception, donors can drop their old clothes in it.
