Upa Yoga is a simple yet powerful set of 10 practices that activate the joints, muscles and energy system. The term “Upa Yoga” is commonly used to denote “usefulness.” Based on a sophisticated understanding of the body's mechanics, it creates an instant sense of alertness, liveliness and brings ease to the whole system. This set of exercises is best recommended for frequent travellers, office goers, children below 14 years, people who have sedentary lifestyle and also beginners in yoga.

The idea behind the workshop was to introduce the teachers to these simple yoga practices which can be done with ease and in less time. One more benefit of these exercises is that if a working individual doesn't have time to do all 10 practices, he can do a set of just 1 or 2 exercises on a light stomach. The teachers felt invigorated after the session and realised the importance of yoga for physical and mental wellbeing.
