The CBSE North Zone Lawn Tennis Tournament kicked off at Pragyan School, Greater Noida on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in the presence of Mrs. Ruchika Sharma, Principal, Pragyan School and Mr. Neeraj Singh, CBSE observer.

\r\nThirty Five Schools with approximately sixty five teams from different districts have participated in the tournament to display their Tennis skills. The tournament that began on Wednesday, October 4 will end on Friday, October 6th at Pragyan School. The CBSE Sports Flag was hoisted during the opening ceremony of the tournament followed by invocation to the Goddess Sarasvati by a Sarasvati vandana and a short cultural programme consisting of a motivational song and poem. This was followed by a ceremonial march past of the participating teams. Each team proudly bore a school flag reflecting love and pride for their school.The oath was administered by the Principal, Mrs. Ruchika Sharma, who then declared the Meet open. What followed were a series of matches among the various teams.
