Brightening the day of the students with wonderful stories a story telling session was conducted where life and expression was in abundance. As a learning tool, storytelling can encourage students to explore their unique expressiveness and can heighten a student's ability to communicate thoughts and feelings in an articulate, lucid manner. It helps improve their language skills, instills a love of reading and stirs their imagination.
To encourage the skills of listening and reading, a storytelling session was organised by Pragyan School for the students of classes 3-8, on account of "National Library Day" by Ms. Simi who is the Founder of- Kathashala, a Storytelling Institute & Studio based out of Noida with centres at New Delhi & Gurgaon. She is the architect to three levels of programs designed for adults to Professionally impart training in the Art of Storytelling. She started the session with a conversation with the children so as to catch the attention of the students, which was followed by a captivating story named "All for free" . The moral of the story was "Nothing comes for free. If you want it you need to know the art of negoatiation. It was an interactive session which was thoroughly enjoyed by the students.
