DARE TO DREAM- SENIOR ANNUAL DAY
\r\n\r\nAfter much excitement and anticipation, the great day finally arrived. Pragyan celebrated its fourteenth Annual Day on the 21st November, 2015. The school premises were beautifully decorated and alight with twinkling coloured lights. There was a flurry of activity as parents arrived to witness the performance of their wards. The Chief Guest for the occasion was none other than Mr. Rajat Sharma, Chairman and Editor-in -Chief, India TV.
\r\n\r\nThe theme for this year's cultural bonanza was `Dare to Dream`. After the traditional lighting of the lamp the program commenced with an instrumental rendition of Raag Basant Bahar and Bhim Palasi called `Confluence'. This was followed by `Swaranjali`, a beautiful welcome song based on Raag Yaman Kalyan.A spirited Nukkad Natak, Timirpash entertained the audience. A theatrical presentation followed, directed by the accomplished director Mr. Feisal Alkazi. Incidents from the lives of Spartacus, who fought against the Roman Empire for individual freedom, Marie Curie who pushed the frontiers of knowledge, Mother Teresa the well-known Nobel Laureate, were used as role models who dared to dream the impossible and accomplish it.
\r\n\r\nThe awards for academics and co-curricular activities were presented to the meritorious students by the Chief Guest. The winner of the Satish Chand Memorial Trophy for Overall Excellence went to Jishnu Mishra and the Trophy for the best House went to Prakand House.
\r\n\r\nThe performance was a credit to the genius of Mr. Feisal Alkazi and the hard work put in by students and staff alike. A vote of thanks was presented by the Principal, Mrs. Ruchika Sharma and the celebration concluded with the national anthem.
