Selected students of class XII visited IIT Delhi on 12th May to attend SemiCon India futureDesign workshop. Our students understood that semiconductors are playing a critical role in the world in more ways than they can think and there is potential for the growth of startups based on semiconductors. The program started with our Honorable Prime Minister explaining the development of semiconductors in the country with the very aim of making India self-reliant and building. In his speech on behalf of all academic partners, Professor Rangan Banerjee (Director, IIT Delhi) mentioned that they will play their best role in enabling the ecosystem. Further, we were informed about the opportunity for futureDesign Startup in Automotive Computer sector by Mr Shibata(CEO, Renesas) and start-ups in the space and defence sector by Dr Vivek lal(Chief executive, GAGC). Our Honorable Minister of State for Electronics and IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar inspired us to take the initiative in the Next-generation Semiconductor Design Startups. Attending the session our students realized that as students we are living in the most exciting phase filled with challenges and opportunities.
