The famous educator Wei Shusheng says: “The sense of language has also been strengthened by reciting more”. Therefore, recitation is one of the important and effective modes of learning a language and appreciating a piece of literature. Taking all these facts into consideration the middle school students got an opportunity to exhibit their talent and flair for the language in an Inter- class “English Poem Recitation” competition conducted on 28/12/2022. ‘Motivational poems, Man and Nature' were the powerful and inspirational themes for the competition. The students came up with different poems and enjoyed the perfection of expression, confidence, emotions, rhythm, fluency, and the music of words. Students were judged on the parameters like Fluency, Pronunciation and Diction, Voice modulation and expressions. It was a splendid opportunity for them to gain confidence through stage exposure.We congratulate the winners .
