As an integral part of the school initiative to reinforce awareness of child safety, an informative workshop on âProtection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) was organized on 14th April, 2023 for the teachers of Grade Nur-XII. The workshop was conducted by the school faculty Ms Sushma Garg, PGT English and Ms.Shilpi Saraswat, PGT Commerce who reiterated the importance of the role played by educators in the safety and security of children. The teachers were also made aware about various forms of sexual harassment that are often overlooked and the workshop also provided information to all the teachers on various preventive steps to be undertaken for identifying signs of abuse and the relevance of POCSO Act-2012. Various laws and principals like- The Child Rights â Right to Survival, Protection, Development, and Participation, Juvenile Justice Act were also discussed. Overall, the workshop proved to be a step to ensure a safe and secure school where all children grow happily making the sweetest memories for life.
