
On 13th February, 2020 students of class 1 went for an educational trip to India Gate. They were amazed to witness such a huge monument. They learnt about the history behind India Gate and Amar Jawan Jyoti.
Students of class 2 was introduced to the compost pit and informed how the compost pit is actually formed. They also learnt about different tools used for gardening.
On 13th February, In-House English Olympiad was conducted for classes III-V. Students solved a question paper based on the prescribed syllabus.
As a part of the EVS activity, the elections for the class monitor were conducted in the classes 4 A, B, C. The students learnt about the entire procedure of voting and also voted to elect their class monitor. They enjoyed this activity and actively participated in voting.
The students of class 4B conducted the morning assembly on 6 and 10th February 2020. The topic of the assembly was “Epics of India". The assembly covered the 2 greatest epics of India- Ramayana, and Mahabharata, and also touched upon Shrimad Bhagvad Gita. A brief story of these epics along with key teachings was included in the assembly. The students presented thought, talks, poems, story, songs and news also.
The students of class 4C presented their assembly on 11.2.2020 and 12.2.2020 on the topic Discipline. The assembly started with the prayer followed by refreshing thoughts and news. The students presented a talk on importance of discipline in our lives. A beautiful song and poem on discipline were also presented by the students. In the teachers talk, Swati ma'am also shared an inspirational story on importance of discipline in our lives. The assembly concluded with the birthday celebration and National Anthem.
On 8th February, 2020 Parents' Sports Day was organized for classes I-V. Interesting races and games made it a fun filled morning wherein parents displayed a lot of enthusiasm and participated wholeheartedly to make the event successful.
'Rhetoric' Junior Annual English Debate for classes 6-8 was conducted on 11th Feb 2020, on the topic "Technology had made us lonely". We congratulate the following students for achieving the best speaker and runner up Trophy. Reva Sharma [6 A] was the winner 'Against the motion' and Arnavi Bhardwaj [7A] was the runner up in this category. Hanswarup Talwar [8B] was the winner 'for the motion' and Ojasvi Sharma [7A] was the runner up in this category.
In Football, Boys team secured the Runners up Trophy. Divyaraj Rousha of class V B from Pragyan School was declared the Best Player.
