
As part of their educational outing students of class 2 visited the National Zoological Park on 06.02.2020. The exuberant students were all wide eyes and thrilled to take a glimpse of around 130 species of animals and birds from around the world. We visited the enclosures for birds and animals in the battery operated car which hippopotamus, spider monkey, Gir, Lion, African and Indian elephant, white tiger, jaguars, Great Indian hornbill along with a few migratory birds.
The Book Fair was organised by Scholastic Publisher in the primary department. Students of classes Nursery-V visited the fair and enjoyed being amidst some interesting collection of books.
Students of class 4A conducted the morning assembly on 4th and 5th February, 2020. The topic of the assembly was patriotism. They presented news, inspiring thoughts, talk, poems, dances and songs. They also took the National Pledge of India to develop nationalistic spirit amongst the students.
Class 5C conducted morning assembly on 'Anger Management' in which they presented captivating thoughts and talks on the different types of anger and measures of controlling anger. Their poetic presentation on the life of an angry boy Archie who learned how to conquer anger in his life and there was also a skit on the topic of 'Scars of Anger‘ also.
With immense pride, we would like to share that Ojasvi Mathpal of class 7A was selected for taking part in the Grand Finale of TOI Young Change Leaders Contest 2020. She had done exceedingly well to compete and get selected among (top 18) thousands of entries received for the contest by TOI. She spoke excellently well on the topic 'While Plastics are being banned, will we be able to completely do away with them? for 2 minutes in the Principal's Seminar being held at the Hyatt Regency, New Delhi on Thursday, 6th February 2020.
Ms Sheetal Gupta , TGT Maths from our school appeared for Teachers Olympiad CENTA conducted by The Hindu and Reliance Foundation on National Level. We appreciate her on achieving 6th Zonal rank, 15th state Rank and 35 National rank in Middle School Maths subject. She also achieved 25th National Rank in Senior Secondary school Economics subject.
Class 12 Students were given Farewell by class 11 students on 1st Feb 2020. Class 11 students gave titles to their seniors, presented songs and dances and conducted various games for the outgoing batch. Head Girl Maithilli Sharma and Head Boy Vidit Jain thanked the school and the teachers for giving the opportunities and mentorship to all the class 12 students.
PRAGYAN SCHOOL participated in the GSP CLIMATE CHANGE AWARDS 2019. School was awarded with green school award from over 1700 schools across the country that submitted the Audit this year, on Feb 6, 2020 at the stein Auditorium, The Indian habitat centre . We got this award not only for being energy efficient , environmentally sustainable school, but also for many other practices taking place inside the school like excellent WFR ratio, 100% RWH, Zero waste generation, No plastic zone etc. Pragyan is getting this green school award in row since last four year.
