The ability to understand and use money wisely became one of the interesting topics when students across sections of VI-XII attended a workshop on ‘Financial literacy'. Mr. Siddharth Singhal the prominent speaker from one of the financial Companies - Money Zinger started the discourse with ‘what is money and its evolution'  in which he talked about various ways of dealing with money and its types. The workshop gained its pace when he talked about the ‘Time value of money' where he discussed the importance of Money and the value of the sum of money that one has at present would not be the same in the future.  Classification of ‘Needs and wants' were also part of the workshop. A few more concepts like opportunity cost, income and expenses, types of expenses, importance of savings etc. were also discussed and explained vividly. The workshop turned out to be a fruitful one for all the students as they learnt many new concepts related to finance.
