The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) is currently excavating Delhi’s Purana Qila. The excavation is being led by Dr Vasant Swarnkar. After the prior excavations that happened in the year 2013-14 & 2017-18. The presentation on the ASI digs at Purana Qila was made by Dr Swarnkar at INTACH on 18th April and we are glad that class XII Humanities students of our school got the opportunity to experience this and learn about the facets of a dig and the objects excavated. During the visit the students got to witness Mauryan period ring wells, drains, housing complexes, metal objects, Mughal period objects and much more.
