Saturday, 1st February, 2014, was a special day at Pragyan School, Greater Noida for the outgoing Class XII as they were bid farewell by the students and teachers. The present Class XI had organised a well planned ceremony followed by games, puzzles and riddles.
\r\n\r\nThe day started with lots of enthusiasm, all of Class XI was buzzing with last minute preparation. The clock struck 11.30, and a much transformed Class XII, dressed in formal attire, entered the auditorium where the farewell was taking place. They were welcomed with the traditional `tilak`. The presentation of roses to each gave a touch of the western tradition. As soon as they entered the auditorium, a sensational, emotional, yet beautiful video was played portraying their memories of Pragyan. This was followed by the lighting of the lamp, for blessings and inspiration.
\r\n\r\nNow it was time for some fun. The first game of the day was `Lighting of Candles` which was won by Julie Chaudhary. Vikhyat Gautam and Karan Sharma lost the game, and were given the punishment of singing a nursery rhyme and imitating a friend. After this all of them gave short speeches on their time at Pragyan. The time passed in a very entertaining manner till the end, when their titles were announced. These titles had been aptly chosen, keeping their attitudes and habits in mind. The program ended with the candle ceremony, when responsibilities were handed over from the outgoing to the incoming Class XII. Vikyat Gautam was chosen as Mr Pragyan and Avantika Sudhaker was chosen as Miss Pragyan. The day ended with a heart touching speech by the Principal, Ms Ruchika Sharma.
\r\n\r\nEveryone then sat down for lunch, which was followed by a photo session, during which Class XII captured some more memories. The day ended, but is still cherished in the hearts of all those present there.
