WORKSHOP ON "BULLY TO BUDDY"
A workshop "Bully to Buddy" was held on 23rd January, 2018 in the Auditorium of the school by the representatives of Fortis Hospital, Noida, Ms Shreya and Ms Rashmi. Students of classes V to XII attended the workshop. Students were explained in detail about various situations where they may be bullied, the ways to handle and come out of the stress arising out of such situations. They were also thoroughly informed about various impacts which being bullied may cause to their personal, academic and social life. The session was extremely interactive and productive for the students.
WORKSHOP ON "READING GOOD BOOKS"
A workshop was conducted on December 5, 2017 for the students of class IV & V by the renowned author Ms. Deepa Agarwal. Ms. Agarwal has won several awards in the Childrens Book Trust Competitions for writers and five of her books have been listed in the White Raven Catalogue of recommended books brought out by the International Youth Library, Munich. In workshop she spoke about the books she has written and how reading good books help us in our daily life. She read one of the story called “Too Many Modaks for Ganesha” from the scholastic book of Hindu Gods and Goddesses retold by her. She emphasized on the proper techniques of story narration and showed how to read a story with proper expressions and voice modulation. The students raised lot of questions related to the author and on the importance of reading and how to select good story books. This session was quite enriching for the children and were too excited to be a part of it.
