Pragyan School proudly celebrated its 11th Junior Annual Day on 10th March 2018.The ceremonial function was graced by the Chief Guest Hon Laxmi Singh (IG), Special Task Force, Dr Kusum Chand, the school Chairperson, the school mentor, Mr S P Bakhshi, the school mentor and Mr Ram Chand, the Managing Trustee.
The theme for this year’s cultural event was ‘Harmony’. Students of Classes Pre-Nursery to 2 presented a plethora of programmes on this occasion marked by 100% participation. After the traditional lighting of the lamp, the Pre-Primary Co-ordinator, Ms Lopamudra Mukherjee welcomed the honourable dignitaries and the audience. The programme commenced with a melodious presentation by the blooming musicians. The school choir mesmerised the audience with their ‘Welcome Song’. It was followed by the presentation of the Annual Report, by the headmistress Ms Manjri Bansal, informing the audience of the progress made by the school. It was followed by a Hindi poetry rendition-‘Vatsalya’. The dance drama ‘Harmony’ featuring an amalgam of Panchatantra Fables was one of the main attractions of the show. The dance drama featured a series of inter-woven fables with morals highlighting practical wisdom in the affairs of life. The participants enthralled the audience with a spectacular performance enriched with rich music, costume, dance and enactment.
The academic and endowment awards were given away by the Chief Guest to the meritorious students. The Nishant Chaudhary trophy of the pre-primary department was awarded to Kartikey Kishore.
Apart from the fun-filled presentation, an exhibition on the endangered animals and plants prepared by the students was put up to display.
The School Principal, Ms Ruchika Sharma, addressed the vote of thanks, asserting her pride for the participants because of their effort and presentation. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
